Tambien, Sandra Bullock recibio Generation Award, a causa de sus grandes contribuciones a la industria del Cine. pero como es de costumbre en los premios MTV, La polemica surgio cuando despues de que Sandra Bullock dio los Agradecimientos, protagonizo un beso con Scarlett Johansson:
"Los protagonistas de Twilight no fueron la excepcion"
Robert Pattinson y Kristen Stewart se unieron a la funcion de besos, cuando ambos recibieron el premio a mejor Beso:

Uno de los momentos mas graciosos de la gala sin duda fue la "Kiss Cam" o camara de besos presentada por Bradley Cooper & Jessica Biel, donde una pantalla grande mostraba la pareja que debia besarse, entre ellos Zack Efron & Vanessa Hudgens, y los comediantes Russel Brand & Jonah Hill:
